"If you beat me back to the homestead, you get a $20 bonus." That made us all run faster. We were running back to the homestead after our morning fitness. Everybody wanted breakfast and $20.
Once everybody got back and had had breakfast and made their lunch, we started walking to Anapai, a bay near Totaranui, and got there in about an hour. When we were there we did 3 rotations, mapping, abseiling and photography.
With mapping, we had to figure out how far in time and kilometers it was to Separation point. The Special Pancakes got the closest time and distance.
With abseiling, we had to walk into the bush until we got to a big rock face. That rock face was the abseiling wall. We walked up to the top of it three at a time. Up the top was the most amazing view. You could see all of Anapai.
When you were going down it seemed to take forever but to the people on the ground you came down really quick. It gave you a great sense of achievement when you reached the bottom.
The photography was basically walking to the next bay to swim and taking pictures on the way.
Everyone had a great time swimming and the photography was fun as well. We all got some great shots of our groups together.
On the whole everyone had a great day. We all had fun and we're liking camp already.
Two days down. Three to go!
We had a great time at Anapei.
