What a camp!
Everyone woke up today feeling tired and sore. After getting up and having breakfast, we had to pack up our bivis and load the trailer. Then we all got assigned jobs. People had to help tidy up the kitchen, pack up more gear and four people even had to clean the toilets!
After packing up everything we headed down to the beach to wait for the boat. Since we had lot's of time to waste Phil taught us a game. It is like musical chairs but with sticks. You line up on a line then when someone says go you run up to where some sticks are lined up but there is one less than the amount of people running. Whoever doesn't get a stick is out. The last person left wins. We had a boys round first. While the boys were playing all of the girls had a feast on the leftover baking. All I can say is that after that there was not much baking to take home. Zac won the boys round and Analese won the girls round. They both versed each other and Analese won.
By that time the boat had shown up and we all piled on. On the way the skipper was quite funny by saying that "These long yellow things are called kayaks and are new spices in the park." Along the way we stopped off at lots of places including Awaroa and Bark Bay.
When we got to Kaiteriteri we had lunch and then went home.
What agreat and one that we will treasure forever. We all had some highs and lows and it was also a great oppitunity to get to know our new teacher,Sharon, more.
Five days down. Zero to go!
Great camp.
